First trailer for The LEGO Movie

Warner Bros. has assembled the teaser trailer for the CG-animated The LEGO Movie [LEGO].  Chris Pratt [CPRAT] voices Emmet, an average minifigure who is mistakenly identified as a special master builder who holds the key to saving their snapped-on block world.  Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, The LEGO Movie opens in theaters on February 7, 2014.

Walt Disney has debuted the teaser trailer for the animated Frozen [FROZE] on The Weather Channel. Paramount has debuted the teaser trailer for the drama The Wolf of Wall Street [TWOWS] on Apple. Box Score: Man of Steel sets new June high

Revitalizing Superman as the original superhero franchise, Man of Steel [SUPR2] sooped up an estimated $113.1 million to set a new opening weekend record for the month of June.  Toy Story 3 held the previous high at $110.3 million. Counting the special Walmart screenings Thursday evening, the film has tallied $125.1 million. Although Man of Steel earned mixed reviews with critics, moviegoers gave the film an A- Cinemascore.  The audience skewed 56% male and 62% over the age of 25.

New trailer for Elysium

Sony has released an extended trailer for the sci-fi film Elysium [ELYSM] directed by Neil Blomkamp [NBLOM] and starring Matt Damon [MDAMO].  With more of the story now revealed, Elysium is reminiscent of last year's Total Recall where the lead character also worked in a robot factory before leading a revolution of the working class over the ruling elite.

New trailer for Man of Tai Chi

The full international trailer has been uploaded for the action adventure Man of Tai Chi [MTCHI].  Keanu Reeves [KREEV] directed and starred as the villain, who appropriates the trademark phrase from 'Mortal Kombat' as the organizer of a Street Fighter-style tournament.
