First trailer for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island



Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer for the 3D adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island [MYSTR], the sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth. Josh Hutcherson [JHUTC] reprises his role as Sean, while Brendan Fraser opted not to return as his father.   Dwayne Johnson [TROCK] takes over the parental role as his step-father.  After receiving a coded distress signal from an unmapped island, they set out to rescue his missing grandfather, played by Michael Caine [MCAIN].  Luis Guzman [LGUZM] provides comic relief as a helicopter pilot, while Vanessa Hudgens [VHUDG] provides a potential love interest for Sean.
