Maybe I shouldnt post this.. I hope it isnt against rules to discuss "Trading secrets" in the forum, but something I was wondering.
I notice,,. with a lot of the blockbuster movies, like Star Wars, etc, the ones that IPO over $100 and $200, that they shoot up in value the first day or so, and then often crash.
I bought a lot of the new Star Wars IPO, even trading/cashing out other stocks to do so, because a lot of my money is tied up in Starbonds.
My question is: Do people.. or is it advisable.. to sell the stock when it shoots up after the initial IPO, wait for it to adjust a bit down, and then buy it again, and then hold on to it long term. I have many shares of the last Star Wars stock due out in 2016, but wasnt sure if what I just sugggested might be the right way to play it.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
