I agree, actually, in this case. Although I guess it depends on the context.
For example, if they're trying to show the specific kind of abuse that a child suffered, it would be good to be clear about what language was actually used so that it's not softened. If it's not that important to the context (let's say an interview subject says 'what happened to Jane was f***ed up'), then I wouldn't see the harm in bleeping it.
