This started as an offhand joke down-thread, but if you look at the numbers I think it illustrates the core HSX graphic pretty well.
Here are today's shares outstanding for GATSB (opens today) and ANTMN (opens November 2015)

Shares Held Long on HSX: 178,322,064
Shares Held Short on HSX: 23,081,843
Trading Volume on HSX (Today): 21,752,645
ANTMN
Shares Held Long on HSX: 240,713,379
Shares Held Short on HSX: 6,472,044
Trading Volume on HSX (Today): 450,012
Even if the entire 21.7 million shares of GATSB today were sales cashing out (which is impossible considering how the stock has actually behaved today), all of the shares of GATSB short or long don't add up to the number of shares of ANTMN people are holding long 18 months before it opens.
