WKTMB and TDROP: These are 2 films that more people should be seeing. These are well crafter, smartly drawn films.
Both are pretty downbeat, I'll give you that. But both are above average in terms of screenplay, performances, and all around craftsmanship. Seeing both of these films in early September is totally refreshing for me.
These films do not have gigantic ambitions; both rely on the story to slowly play out to get a desired affect. Most importantly, both of these films accomplish exactly what they set out to do. Mission accomplished for both of these little gems.
Neeson's best performance since The Grey. And Tom Hardy, as always, is excellent as well.
