My family goes up to LA to celebrate my stepson's 29'th birthday.
We go to Canter's. We end up sitting right next to Rodney Bingenheimer, the mayor of Sunset Strip himself. Then, in walks Angelyne of all people, her pink vette parked out front.
Great dinner. So we head down the street to the New Beverly. We go in for the midnight movie, go down front, and boom, right there fourth row center is the big man himself. Nice as always. He gets up and introduces the flick, and since there were only a dozen or so people in the theater, Quentin personally thanked each of us for coming to see SEVEN BROTHERS MEET DRACULA. And he really enjoyed the picture, we were all cracking up all the way through it.
Great night.
PS: There was a big stand up in the theater, for Interstellar. I asked Quentin if he'd seen it yet. He said he got to see it at a screening Nolan set up for some of his director buddies. He said it's really cool and pretty much lives up to the hype.
