He's simply stating what most everyone understands is inevitable. Otherwise, movies are going to die. What goes around, comes around.Things change (thank god in this case).
In 1950, there were about 125 westerns released. Think about that for a minute. And for every Rio Grande, there were three "The Texan Meets Calamity Jane".
In 1960, there were a dozen or so.
That's what Steve is talking about here. Put it into context. Studios now don't even come close to releasing that many films, but at some point the public will have had enough of Green Lantern and The Thing. Something else will come into favor.
Several years ago, there was a horror movie every weekend. Not any more.
All the same though, I definitely like seeing all the Thor and Hulk fans get their panties twisted over these comments. Good times, maybe not that far away.
