I want some people to talk honestly about this mess. I'm fascinated at the prospect of how the media plays this. Let's see who is real
and who is a fake.
The bleeding hearts have been lining up for 7 months now, waiting for this movie to come out. I know I've been looking forward to see it, to see if it deserves all the hype.
And now, this personal thing, this awful thing, is thrown into the mix.
I am particularly interested in the female perspecive on this one. Do a little research, go read about this incident, what happened, and how it all transpired legally. We're talking about some horrible stuff here.
Let's be clear. One person here was convicted. The only reason they didn't serve was the defendant did not pursue the retrial (the victim was emtionally broken by this, the victim is a multiple attempted suicide).
And so far, what do we get? A bunch of spin from Nate Parker, and his cowriter, co-whatever you want to call him. This is some ugly stuff. I look forward to the coverage this time around. Does this one get swept under the rug? Pretty big rug.
