No... But... in May of 1977, I was the Manager of a General Cinema theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico and...
I gave an after hours private (complementary) showing of "Cross of Iron" to Sam Peckinpaw, Kris Kristofferson, Ernest Borgnine, Ali Macgraw and Burt Young. (I sat between Ali and Burt) They were filming "Convoy" a few miles outside of Albuquerque. As a thank you, Kris Kristofferson invited me (and my wife) to their set to watch filming. I also attended the shoot of the (awesome) destruction of the town by the semi trucks, which was filmed in Bernalillo, New Mexico, and the scene filmed at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque. In 1978, I was surprised to find a "Convoy" movie poster in my office mail, that was autographed by the cast, director and some of the crew. It's still one of my most prized possessions.
