You have a tool that seems to have been very successful for you in all the ports that you manage/have managed.

I have a tool that I have found to be successful for me in my huge personal port and in the smaller fund ports that I have managed.

I view this as a conversation, not a debate or arguement.  For some players. mrbinns system, strategy and method make a lot of sense and can be very useful.  Every player should read his posts (past, present and future) and see if they can find anything that is helpful for them.  If you find that his system is a good fit for your lifestyle, then by all means take advantage of it and have fun making money.

I spend alot of time just listening and learning from everybody.  You never know when or from who you might learn something.  A few weeks ago, I was instant messaging with a new player who had some basic questions.  After helping that player, they questioned why The HSX Dude was still a subdomain of Weebly instead of being its own domain.  I explained that I have no experience in such matters and an hour later http://thehsxdude.weebly.com had become www.hsxdude.com! (with that player walking me thru the process).

That player also showed me a firefox add on that does screen shots which helps me read Variety news posts before they blackout.  I have invented other uses for this add on that has greatly improved my gameplay at HSX (and made a future HSX Speed article).  Who knew that someone with a >50mill port could change/improve my strategy at HSX?

I remember when I first rejoined HSX in late 2007 and met grammar.  She tried convincing me to try a different browser called firefox but I refused for several months because IE was all that I had even known.  She said that HSX ran faster with FF, but I did not believe her.  I finally gave in after she and Catzan and karspov ganged up on me about it one night.  She was right.  It was way faster, but even better it had tabs! (IE didn't have tabs at that time and I was using multiple windows).  FF also had add ons (which IE didn't have at that time) and I found a few add ons that changed the way I played HSX and it altered my trading strategy (reload every...; colorful tabs; google search bar; adblocker plus; element hider; etc...).  I was already a top trader, but this new tool that grammar introduced me to changed my strategy.

I remember reading about Fembot and how they went from a new $2mill port to $1bill in a year's time.  I was already a top trader but I wanted to know their secret to see if there was anything that I could add to what I was already doing.  I did some research and found a snippet that Fembot had wrote someplace that wasn't very clear.  After a little more research and a little experimentation I figured out what Fembot had written and meant and what I learned completely revolutionized my HSX strategy! My port was never the same.

These tools helped me to become the trader that I am (top 50 LTD; two delisted funds; current successful fund; a competitive top 100 weekly port while running a website).  These tools might not make any difference to your current strategy or they might rock your world.

The movie industry is constantly changing and so is the HSX game that is built around it.  There is always some new tools being invented/discovered (I just got my first internet smart phone ~ now I can play HSX while on the road... instead of just when I am home at my desktop) that can help you play HSX better.  Good luck out there.  I have been doing this a number of years and am still adding/alterating to my strategy and finding/inventing new tools that help me.  I learn something new about plaing HSX everyday.

I found an interesting example of why context is needed wth respect to the Post Adjust Bond Show, with respect to dROI.... Buy StarBond Fund 18 Apr 26, 12:46

Like every other factor in making Starbond investments, dROI is a tool that can be used and/or ignored by traders as appropriate. RogerMore Apr 26, 17:48

This was not meant as a criticism of your hard work. Only to point out context necessary to make good use of it. mrbinns Apr 26, 20:15

he says they're attached to the same movie, so surely they adjust over the same period {nm} Jane_Citizen Apr 27, 00:35

Fantastic debate between some of the heavy hitters! srrichardson Apr 26, 23:07

In my experience, actual dROI (rather than calculated dROI) is larger for movies that have a higher next adjust over a span of 3 days. PRodQuanta Apr 27, 11:08

Implying that I actually use a mix of both investment strategies and it works great. Thanks to both of you. {nm} PRodQuanta Apr 27, 11:10

Heh - I thought I knew what you meant until I read your IM. {nm} RogerMore Apr 27, 13:28

I am not sure what you mean because your terminology is off....BUT Buy StarBond Fund 18 Apr 27, 20:33

I'm assuming dROI is daily Return On Investment (this very well could be wrong, I haven't checked). My explanation is inside PRodQuanta Apr 28, 09:13

This excludes any bounce phenomena {nm} PRodQuanta Apr 28, 09:31

This is known as the Bounce. It's something that mrbinns (in particular) does very well, and I assume it's what Razorhawk does also. RogerMore Apr 28, 09:39

(Oh actually, it's not the Bounce - but I think my IM still has it) {nm} RogerMore Apr 28, 09:41

Yes, I believe you have the gist. Playing the players/the bounce is somewhat different. It boils down to dROI ~ 1.5ROI in first ~1.5 days. {nm} PRodQuanta Apr 28, 10:28

I'd short all 3. If they become popular, you can sell at the estimated delist early, otherwise, you will at least cover the 2%, likely more {nm} arf Apr 28, 22:41
