Martin Scorsese is considered one of the premiere filmmakers of our time. He is responsible for many of today's classic films and for boosting the careers of some of the greatest actors in film history. His films influence new generations of filmmakers and actor while redefining the medium altogether.
His first feature film was Boxcar Bertha. Scorsese came into his own with 1973's Mean Streets. He soon followed with 1976's Taxi Driver and 1980's Raging Bull, hailed as cinematic masterpieces.
His recent films range from the brutal, such as Goodfellas, to the beautiful, such as Kundun and The Age of Innocence.
