Description

Set in the late 18th Century England, the biopic Belle stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Dido Elizabeth Belle, the illegitimate daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay and an African slave. Brought up by her great-uncle Lord Mansfield, she faced discrimination in the aristocratic society. Amma Asante directed with a screenplay by Misan Sagay.
