Description

Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar will be adapted into a feature film. Julia Stiles will produce and star as Esther Greenwood, a young reporter who tries to make it in New York only to return home to Boston in a state of depression. She makes attempts on her own life and undergoes a great deal of therapy. The Bell Jar was considered close to be autobiographical which became tragic when Plath committed suicide. Playwright Tristine Skyler adapts the screenplay.
