Description
Penniless and unconnected, the title character of Bowfinger is desperate to take one last shot at becoming a filmmaker. The only problem is that Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) cannot convince superstar Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy) to star in his movie. Undaunted, Bowfinger films Ramsey surreptitiously, creating paranoia, chaos and confusion for the actor. Bowfinger marks the first time that Martin and Murphy have co-starred in a movie, and the film is Martin's first screenwriting effort since 1994's A Simple Twist of Fate. Frank Oz, who also teamed up with Martin in 1988's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, is the director.
