Received his first break in 1959, after landing a role on the TV series Rawhide... TV success lead to big-screen roles in a succession of seminal westerns, including 1964's A Fistful of Dollars, 1965's For a Few Dollars More and 1965's The Good, the Bad and the Ugly... Eastwood put a new spin on the western in 1992's Unforgiven, which won Best Picture and which also won Eastwood an Oscar for Best Director...
