Description

Control is the musical biopic of Ian Curtis, lead singer of Post-Punk band Joy Division. Based on the book by his widow Deborah, the film details how Ian spiraled into depression and eventually took his own life after personal and professional troubles became too overwhelming. He left behind a cult following that has given Joy Division an enduring legacy. Sam Riley plays the lead while Samantha Morton takes the role of Deborah. Anton Corbin directed the film which premiered at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
