The Last Castle stars Robert Redford, James Gandolfini, and Mark Ruffalo. The story is about a five-star General (Redford) who is court-martialed for a capital crime and sent to the military's only maximum security prison run by a corrupt Warden (Gandolfini). Inside, the general successfully rallies his fellow inmates and leads them to revolt against the oppressive system. Ruffalo plays a pilot who is crucial to the negotiation between the general and the prison warden. Rod Laurie (The Contender) directs the $50 million DreamWorks film.
