Description

Adam Sandler will reunite with Little Nicky director Steve Brill for a remake of the screwball comedy Mr. Deeds Goes to Town. Retitled as simply Deeds, the movie has Sandler portraying a simple country bumpkin who is targeted by greedy city dwellers after he inherits a large sum of money.

The original starred Gary Cooper and was a hit back in 1936. Sid Ganis (Big Daddy, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo) is set to produce the project for Columbia. Winona Ryder is set to co-star.
