Description
Dogtown and Z-Boys is a documentary premiered to great response at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival where it shared the Audience Award. The film is directed by Stacy Peralta, an original member of a group of skate-boarders from Los Angeles called the Z-Boys. Dogtown is actually an area between Santa Monica and Venice, CA, where the teenagers are from. The documentary captures the beginnings and awesome rise of the extreme-sport and includes original footage from the 1970s. Sony Picture Classics will distribute the film.
