Description
A product of the Sundance Film Festival, Edward Burns took the do-it-yourself approach to filmmaking after receiving repeated rejections as a screenwriter. His first offering was 1995's The Brothers McMullen, which he financed for $25,000 and filmed over an eight month period. Burns' success at Sundance brought him the much-needed financial backing for his second effort, 1996's She's the One. In 1998, Burns wrote, directed and starred in his third film, No Looking Back, and also starred in Steven Spielberg's war epic Saving Private Ryan.
