Description

Best known for his work on the 1994 Stephen King adaptation, The Shawshank Redemption, Frank Darabont received his first directing credit for the 1983 short film, The Woman in the Room, which was also based upon a work by King. Between those two films, Darabont filled time with some made-for-TV movies, including 1990's Buried Alive. Darabont returned to familiar territory with 1999's The Green Mile, his second major feature based upon King's work.
