Description
Michael B. Jordan, Octavia Spencer, Tristan Wilds and Melonie Diaz star in the real-life based drama Fruitvale, named for the Bay Area Rapid Transit station in Oakland where Oscar Grant was detained by the BART police and killed with a shot in his back. The outrage for the controversial shooting of the black youth continued when the white cop was acquitted. The film is written and directed by Ryan Coogler.
