Description
In what looks to be the first major deal put together by Michael Ovitz's Artists Management Group, Gangs of New York is an epic saga that chronicles Irish gangsters in New York. Spanning several years, the story begins in the corrupt Tammany Hall era and moves forward into the 20th century. Martin Scorsese directs the film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Cameron Diaz. The script comes from Scorsese, Jay Cocks, and a rewrite courtesy of Steve Zaillian.
