Description
Mike Newell will direct a new feature adaptation of Great Expectations for the bicentennial celebration of author Charles Dickens' birth on Feburary 7, 1812. Jeremy Irvine plays the orphan country boy named Pip unexpectedly grows up to become a London gentleman through a chain of mysterious events helped by an unknown benefactor. The script is written by David Nicholls.
