Description
As with the 1963 horror film of the same name, The Haunting is based upon the Shirley Jackson novel "The Haunting of Hill House." The film focuses on four characters who agree to conduct a mysterious experiment inside an old New England mansion. During the course of the night, Dr. Marrow (Liam Neeson) intends to study his three subjects (Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lili Taylor and Owen Wilson), but troubling events begin to occur. Soon, the four characters wonder if the house's history is based on more than just myth. The film is directed by Jan De Bont, whose recent credits include the Speed films and Twister.
