Description
Updating the familiar fish-out-of-water movie premise, Held Up pairs young up and comer Jamie Foxx with sexy Nia Long.
Foxx plays Michael Dawson who has the world by the tail until he spends the money he was saving with his fiancee to buy a house on the sports car of his dream.
When Rae (Nia Long) heads back to Chicago in the middle of their romantic vacation furious with Michael for buying the car Michael must figure out how to repair his mistake. But his troubles are just beginning.
While pondering his fate at a "Sip & Zip" convience store in the middle of nowhere things go from bad to worse.
A teen-ager carjacks Michael relieving him of the one item that will save his engagement and before he can react he finds himself a hostage in a standoff between the local law and the local n'er-do-wells.
