Description
Although the press often labeled him as "the younger brother of Ralph Fiennes" early on, Joseph Fiennes quickly proved that this diminutive moniker did not do him justice. With a few years of on-stage experience and a film debut in 1996's Stealing Beauty, the younger Fiennes quickly established himself as one of Hollywood's most promising young actors. In 1998, Fiennes starred in two very different takes on the Elizabethan era -- Shakespeare in Love and Elizabeth -- and earned a notoriety far removed from mere "younger brother" status. While forthcoming films roles will undoubtedly be plentiful for the British native, Fiennes hopes to balance his new success with his career on stage.
