Writer-director Jared Hess broke through in 2004 with Napoleon Dynamite which he co-wrote with his wife Jerusha. After taking on a bigger budget with Nacho Libre, Hess went back to the smaller scaled Gentleman Broncos. Hess graduated from Brigham Young University.
