Julia Roberts won critical acclaim very early in her career, scoring an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in 1989's Steel Magnolias. The following year, Roberts would earn a second Oscar nomination -- this time for Best Actress -- for her role as the charming hooker Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman. After several more years of hits and misses, Roberts finally took home the gold for her efforts in the drama Erin Brockovich.
