Description
Best known for her Emmy-winning role as Sally Solomon on NBC's 3rd Rock from the Sun, Kristen Johnston began acting in college, and made her professional stage debut with David Mamet's Atlantic Theater Company. Johnston starred in several stage productions early in her career, and eventually earned a Drama Desk Award for her performance in a Lincoln Centre Theater production of The Lights. This particular performance caught the attention of an executive who was casting 3rd Rock, and after several auditions for the show, Johnston had landed her role in 1996. Johnston has since appeared in a handful of feature films, including 1998's Running with Scissors and 1999's Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
