Description
The 1985 musical Les Miserables based on the 1862 Victor Hugo novel will be adapted into a feature film. The music is composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg. The orginial French lyrics by Alain Boublil is adapted into English by Herbert Kretzmer. The story of the ex-convict Jean Valjean is told against the backdrop of the 1832 June Rebellion. The film is directed by Tom Hooper (The King's Speech).
