Description
L.I.E. is a drama set against the backdrop of the Long Island Expressway. The story concerns Howie, a fifteen-year-old boy with a recently deceased mother and a corrupt, uncaring father. The boy is left to his own devices and seeks solace and friendship with a friend named Big John, a respected man in the community. However Big John starts a relationship with Howie that leads the boy down a very dangerous path. The film stars Brian Cox, Paul Franklin Dano, Billy Kay, and Bruce Altman. Michael Cuesta makes his directorial debut. This film will compete in the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.
