Description
The Last King of Scotland is based on the life of the ruthless Ugandan leader Idi Amin as seen by his personal physician. The Scottish doctor is at first flattered by his new job, but soon learns of his boss’ savagery and his own role in historic events. The film is based on an award-winning book by Giles Foden and details Amin’s preference for all things Scottish. Kevin Macdonald directs with a screenplay by Peter Morgan.
