Description
Based upon the novel by Elizabeth Bowen, The Last September chronicles the extinction of the Irish aristocracy, as set against the turbulent backdrop of 1920's Ireland. Theater director Deborah Warner makes her debut with the film, which was written by John Banville. Academy Award-winner Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Keeley Hawes and David Tennant star. September played at the 1999 Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals. The film opens in New York City on April 21 with an exclusive run in theatres.
