Christopher Plummer stars as Russian writer Leo Tolstoy in the biographical drama The Last Station. The film looks at the troubled final year of Tolstoy as he tries to flee the confines of his life, but ends up on his deathbed while under the impression he is dying alone. Tolstoy has no idea that a horde of journalists are following his condition minute by minute. Helen Mirren plays his wife while Paul Giamatti portrays the writer's leading disciple. Michael Hoffman directs the script based on Jay Parini's novel.
