Description
Frances McDormand and Christian Bale appear as mother and son on the brink of reconciliation in Laurel Canyon. Bale plays a straight-laced young man who just wrapped his medical studies on the East Coast. He returns to California with his fiancee, played by Kate Beckinsale, to live in his childhood home with his hippie mother. Tension arises when his seemingly straight fiancee starts falling for his mother's free-spirited lifestyle. Lisa Cholodenko writes and directs USA Films.
