Description
A juvenile mental institution is where the characters of Manic find their catharsis. Jospeh Gordon-Levitt plays a young man placed in the institution against his will. He has a penchant for violent behavior and ends up befriending another patient, played by Michael Bacall. The psychologist, played by Don Cheadle, turns out to be a former drug addict who is able to reach out to the troubled young men.
Manic is scheduled to screen at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival in the American Spectrum division. Jordan Melamed directs the film, the first to be shot using a new digital camera called PD150.
