Description
After starring in a handful of well-received Aussie movies, including Mad Max, Mel Gibson made his U.S. debut in 1984's The Bounty. But it was his role as loose-cannon cop Martin Riggs in 1987's Lethal Weapon that made Gibson a household name. In 1995, Gibson won the Best Director Oscar for his work in Braveheart.
