Description

The coming of age story Mr. Pip is adapted from the best-selling Lloyd Jones novel. Set in the war-torn island of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea, Hugh Laurie plays a teacher who inspires his class and a 13-year-old girl in particular by reading them Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations'. The film is adapted and directed by Andrew Adamson.
