Murder by Numbers will follow two high school students who commit a series of perfect murders. As the FBI investigates the killings, the two teenagers try to stay one step ahead of a field agent, played by Sandra Bullock, who is investigating her first case. Ben Chaplin, Ryan Gosling, Michael Pitt, and Chris Penn co-star. The movie is directed by Barbet Schroeder. Rob Reiner originally planned to direct the thriller based upon his own idea and hired screenwriter Tony Gayton to pen the script.
