Description
Nia Long began acting as a child, but first came to public attention with her role in 1991's Boyz N the Hood. The young actress next landed a three-year stint on TV's The Guiding Light, followed by a role opposite Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. With six years of television to her credit, Long landed roles in such 1997 films as Soul Food, Hav Plenty and Love Jones. In 1999, Long continued to appear in high-profile films, essaying roles in Stigmata and The Boiler Room.
