Description
The controversial filmmaker first got his start as a writer and penned such cinema classics at Midnight Express and Scarface. In 1986, Stone became a household name when his movie Platoon won the Oscar for Best Director and Best Picture. Movies such as JKF, Nixon, and Natural Born Killers continued to keep Stone in the press and on top of critic's lists. Stone also directed World Trade Center and Alexander.
