Description
The most critically acclaimed Spanish director since Luis Bunuel, he is best known for his twisted and eccentric comedies such as Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
Almodovar won the Palme d'Or for Best Director for All About My Mother at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. He was also rewarded with an Oscar in 2000 for Best Foreign Film for All About My Mother.
