Description
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz made her American film debut in 1998's The Hi-Lo Country, but had already established herself across the Atlantic in a varity of foreign films. Among Cruz's earliest efforts were comedies such as Belle Epoque and A Corner of Paradise.
In 1997, Cruz received critical acclaim for her role in the romance/drama Open Your Eyes, and in Pedro Almodovar's Oscar-winning comedy/drama All About My Mother. Since then, Cruz has starred opposite Matt Damon in All the Pretty Horses, opposite Johnny Depp in the drama Blow, and opposite Tom Cruise in Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky.
