Description
Although Peter Fonda became an American icon in the late 60's, the B-movies that propelled him to stardom could not sustain his career through the 70's and 80's. Fonda, brother to Jane and son of acting legend Henry Fonda, reached a cross-over audience as "Captain America" in 1969's Easy Rider. Although co-stars Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper went on to have successful careers in the 70's, Fonda toiled in relative obscurity. Fonda rose from the ashes in 1997's Ulee's Gold which earned him a Golden Globe, as well as an Oscar nomination. Fonda also garnered rave reviews for his performance in 2000's The Limey.
