Description
An actress who has spent much of her career dabbling in independent film, Parker Posey made her professional debut in 1991, in the daytime soap As the World Turns. After a year and a half on the show, Posey left, and earned a featured supporting role in the 1993 Richard Linklater film Dazed and Confused. Posey has since taken roles in much less-seen offerings, but has managed to land roles in films that garner critical acclaim. Some of Posey's more memorable films include the 1996 indies Waiting for Guffman and The Daytrippers, as well as Hal Hartley's 1997 film Henry Fool.
