Description
Michael Caine and Brendan Fraser will star in The Quiet American, directed by Phillip Noyce. Based on Graham Greene's 1955 novel, The Quiet American takes place in '50s Vietnam during the fight for independence from France. The story centers on a British reporter living in Vietnam who gets involved with a young American CIA agent who has eyes for his Vietnamese girlfriend. Christopher Hampton handled the adaptation duties with Sydney Pollack, William Horberg, and Staffan Ahrenberg producing.
