Description
The Ray Charles Story chronicles the trials and tribulations of singer-songwriter who was a major contributor in the development of soul music. It follows his life through his childhood in the racially segregated South and deals with the hardships of his blindness and how he learned music through braille. Other personal trials in the musician's life include an addiction to heroin and his efforts in the civil rights movement.
Crusader Entertainment teamed with Paramount Pictures to produce the film. Scriptwriter Jimmy White pens the screenplay for producer Stuart Benjamin. Jamie Foxx will star as Ray Charles.
