Description
One of three Mars-based films slated for release in the new millennium, Red Planet stars Val Kilmer as an astronaut who becomes stranded on the fourth rock from the Sun.
The film co-stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Tom Sizemore, Simon Baker-Denny and Benjamin Bratt, and is directed by Antony Hoffman, who makes his feature debut with the film.
Red Planet was formerly titled Mars, but was renamed in order to differentiate it from Disney's Mission to Mars and James Cameron's IMAX 3-D Mars project.
